                               Gary Coleman                        Program Director

Mr. Coleman attended Grove City College however he found real excitement while selling encyclopedias and cookware door to door until he worked his way up to assistant manager in a large Krogers supermarket. He missed sales however and in December of 1972 he asked his dad, Lewis, for a job on the floor at Coleman Oldsmobile and Subaru in Trenton, NJ.

Six years later Mr. Coleman was "promoted" to the F&I office for one year when he asked to return to the floor.  After a short time the new car manager job opened up and Mr. Coleman took over that position as well as sales training under the auspices of Automotive Profit Builders (APB). From there he managed the used car department and opened a JD BYRIDER store one year after completing a ten year buyout of his father along with his brother. During those years Coleman Auto Group acquired Jeep, Kia and also opened a second location with Jeep and Chrysler in central NJ. Mr. Coleman trained every sales person hired in both locations over 33 years. Well traveled and well read of the major national trainers he was convinced that there is a huge need for outside trainers to work with auto dealerships but for much less money than was being charged. 40 years to the day he entered the business, he took a buyout from his brother and left to start a training company in March 2013 with a silent partner who had written a training manual under the company name of MYDXPRO. That partner signed over his share and left the business. 

Training in the field for dozens of dealerships and NJCAR 's BOOTCAMP PROGRAM led to the need to make subtle changes which led to seven new editions of the syllabus over two years. 

In January 2016 feeling the need to start fresh with a name more reflective of what we do Mr. Coleman partnered with Richard Sabo and formed our new company, G&R Training LLC, DBA Dealer S.T.A.R. Solution sales training and recruiting systems.

Mr. Coleman lives in Hopewell Twp. NJ with his wife Nadine. They have four children and two grandsons.

Richard Sabo's automotive career spans over forty years. A Scotch Plains native, his high school auto shop teacher can be credited with the development of Richard’s fascination with cars and how they represent one's personality. After rewiring the harness of his first car, one wire at a time, Rich moved on to racing cars as a young adult. The thrill of racing and the intricacies of performance vehicles were the gateway to a highly successful career in the auto industry following his college experiences and Hofstra certifications.
                                                                          
Influencing his career, experiences with Joe Verde, Jim Ziegler, and Automotive Profit Builders, add zeal to the personal attention Richard focuses on in his performance in dealership roles as well as his role as sales trainer.  Richard’s affiliations with dealerships and customers create liaisons that boast success. From Avis sales and management to earning three President’s Awards, Richard’s experience reflects a vast range of earned positions. Serving as Sales Manager, General Sales Manager, Finance Manager, Used Car Manager, Service consultant, and an Auction Ace, Richard sees the automotive industry from many points of view and expertise.
 
With a focus on highly satisfied customers and dealer profit, proper planning and preparation perfects performance in all phases of successful sales. Interacting with customers, sales forces, and management is skillfully executed with his tried and true expertise. Sharing successful strategies and techniques are highlights of Richard’s sales training sessions. Motivating others with a passion for the automotive business, DEALER S.T.A.R. Solutions was born with drive, determination, and dedication to an awesome lifelong career.
 
Richard enthusiastically reflects on time spent building business in New York, Connecticut, and New Jersey. While there is nothing as constant as change, keeping up with the changes in the auto industry has been a challenge embraced with vigor. Sharing with others his energy and passion for a career in the auto industry is a highlight of his training sessions.
 
Richard resides with his wife, Susan, in Martinsville and Toms River. They have four children.
